for many years, i thought it was up to me to make things happen…
I thought it was up to me to bring about change and to control the circumstances in my life.
I thought I had to be the one to bring about conviction in the hearts of my kids
And that it was up to me to be the best wife, mother, daughter, and friend that I could possibly be.
But You’ve helped me to see things differently now….
You’ve taught me that it’s ALL about you.
Only You can make me who you want me to be, and only You can change this sinful heart of mine and the hearts of my sweet kids.
It’s ALL about You, Lord, and I see that now…..

Amen. It’s been a long road of realizing that He doesn’t need me (though He can surely USE me) and letting go of things that are out of my control but the peace that I have now is beyond wonderful! I pray that I can retain all of this when/if God brings children into our lives though. I’m sure that will be a whole new set of tests and lessons!

Amen and amen…beautifully written. I especially liked your last line, “It’s ALL about You, Lord, and I see that now.” How true…as we come to know God more we realize it is all about Him.
