the Shepherd hears our voice……

April 30, 2012

John 10:27-30~

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

30 I and the Father are one.”

as I ponder this verse on this rainy monday morning, I am intensely aware of Gods love for his children.

He truly is our shepherd–he hears our voice and he knows us.

I am his, and he is mine.

I am blown away by the reality that, as his sheep, NO ONE can snatch us out of his hand—NO ONE.

As I reflect over my past week, I am in awe of how the lord took what was meant for harm and is turning it into something good…..

All because he’s our Shepherd, he knows our voice, and NO ONE can snatch us out of his hand.

I’m linking up with Ann toady as we continue to count his many gifts…..

….a relaxing weekend with the family

….healthy kids—all five, safe and sound—and all home.

….an amazing husband who loves me through the hardest of times

….friends—one of God’s most treasured gifts

….the soft sound of rain in the spring

….a safe home

….a church family who I love with all my heart

….pastors who dedicate hours of their time to tend their flock…

….thankful that I’m never too far out of his reach….

….grace—amazing grace

What are you thankful for today? Look around you–you won’t have to look far to see His many gifts in your life.

    such a beautiful list!
and a set of wonderful verses…reminds me a Psalm 23 which is what I am working through in my personal study and sharing on my blog
also a song that comes to mind is Matt Redman’s “Never Let Go”
praying you find peace in the arms of the Heavenly Father who will never let go!!

An encouraging post. Of all His sheep, so seemingly similar, he knows ME.
And the sound of rain has been lovely these past few days…
