5 minute friday

September 30, 2011

Today i’m linking up with lisa-jo over at the gypsy mama.  if you’ve never visited lisa-jo before, i would encourage you to do so.  she has an amazing heart for God and her ability to capture your heart with her words is nothing short of amazing.

5 minute friday is all about bloggers spending 5 minutes just writing about a topic that lisa-jo picks and not worrying about how it sounds, looks, etc.  just writing from the heart.  pure & simple.

today, lisa-jo is encouraging us to spend 5 minutes writing about friends.

here goes:

there’s so much more to friendship than just coffee and chocolate, though those are both a definite bonus!

when i think of my friends i think of loyalty.  devotion.  unconditional love.

i think of laughing together. crying together. and not caring if our make up is smeared when it’s all said and done.

i think of being yourself and knowing that they love you that way.

i think of having the freedom to just say what’s on your heart and not worrying how it’s going to sound when it comes out.

and then there’s the friend who’s known you most of your life, and even though miles now seperate you, once you’re together again, it’s like no time has passed—at all.

i thank God for my friends.  where would i be without them?  as i walk through the many trials of this life, one things is sure.

my friends are there for me.  and i’m there for them.

and there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother…….
