i love my man…..

March 7, 2011

On Friday night, i had the awesome privilege of going on a date with someone really HOT: my man.

We went to Chic-fil-A for dinner (so yummy!!) and then went to Michaels so that i could use up a 50% off coupon that I had (isn’t it sweet of him to go to michaels with me…to buy craft stuff, none-the-less?!)  from there we went to Menards (hubby deserved some time at his favorite store, did he not?).  And of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Walmart-where we happend to watch someone get arrested for shoplifting.

once we were done at walmart, hubby then asks me if i’d like to go anywhere else.  well, it just so happens that i had this terrible, intense craving for Portillos Chocolate Cake.  Never mind the fact that i’m allergic to dairy.  i hadn’t had milk chocolate in months (only 2 months to be exact) and was dying for it!

Just a side note….i can have dairy that’s baked into stuff without having an immediate reaction; having a consistent diet of  cooked dairy will affect me though, so i try to stay away from it as much as i can. and uncooked dairy-no can do!  but hey, we all need a good chocolate fix once in a while, right?  and believe me, i loved it!

as i was out with my wonderful man, i was once again amazed at God’s kindness in blessing me with him.

i love how we can go out and talk.  and laugh. and share.  or simply be quiet.  no matter what we do when we’re out, it’s all good.  it’s all comfortable.  and it’s real.

we’ve always had a strong marriage, always been able to talk, and have always been the best of friends.

these things are not by chance. these things that make up our marriage are God’s doing.  a priceless gift, one that i know not to take lightly.

we’ve had our “bumps” along the way, and i’m sure there are more to come, but the one thing that i’m sure of is that God will see us through those bumpy times, because what we have is too precious to lose.
